Our first meeting this Autumn took place on Thursday 3rd September. Louise Burks, from the Gold Club gave a very good talk and demonstration on planting Winter hanging baskets and containers. 

We watched as she filled the basket and pot with numerous plants. All the while she gave us tips and suggestions on planting our own. It was amazing how many plants she fitted in!

The first winner of the raffle was allowed to choose the basket or pot, kindly donated by Louise. Anne was delighted to choose the pot.

Members had been asked to bring the sunflowers grown from seed supplied by the Gold Club. The winner was Sue.

Our next meeting is on October 1st when Nick Tomlinson will be talking about Bats.
